Karyn Clark Ricci’s current work focuses on the collection and manipulation of found objects and photographs. By layering everyday objects and images through printmaking, animation and illustration, she examines the manner in which objects interplay with one another, leaving suggestions of the original objects while transforming them into altogether new entities. By creating manipulated pieces of evidence, Ricci’s work refers to the way our actions and interactions collide, depositing vestiges of their effects on both environment and humanity.
Ricci earned her master of fine arts degree at the University of Arizona and owns a design studio where she works for various clients, including the Arizona Commission on the Arts. Her work has been exhibited at individual and group exhibits in Arizona and Michigan.
