Amidst our shared experience and unique consciousness exists a space unbeknownst to words. The words we create are limiting by definition; our mind’s eye is forever wandering, challenging our own vocabulary. In this liminality is where my photographs wish to linger and reverberate. It is here where multiple images represent a fragment of clarity- creating a visual language all their own.
My approach to image making is similar to the act of a spontaneous utterance- intuitive and guttural; brief moments of meditation follow in the process. Feelings of ambivalence, abandon and hope intersect with instincts and motivations- all things that influence my exploration.
Metaphor and Symbol become the vehicle of communication.
Restlessness is a side effect.
