Known for her meticulously executed, large-scale abstract oil-and-glass bead paintings, Marlyne Jones claims to paint for adventure and to see what new spaces she can create from the places she inhabits. Using a demanding technique requiring precision, discipline and consummate control, the painter endeavors to deliver artwork that incongruously hints at not only uncontrolled passion and beauty, but also the eternal profundity of repetition and the unbridled energy of a personal microcosm.
