Shaunté Glover

Artist Statement

My artistic practice explores themes of Blackness, womanhood, representation, and place through the lens of basketball and culturally relevant iconography. I employ basketball motifs to comment on cultural, historical, and current realities. Through a combination of object-based work, photography, and video, I create a dialogue that celebrates the intersections of identity, sport, and culture, inviting viewers to reflect on the complexities of representation and belonging within contemporary society.
