"Untangling": A Solo Exhibition Exploring Rebirth and Reconciliation

A Solo exhibition by Megan Waller

Eye Lounge Gallery, November 15-December 8th—"Untangling," a solo exhibition of new works by Megan Waller, invites viewers to explore themes of rebirth and reconciliation through a powerful series of paintings created over 18 months. The exhibition opens November 15th at Eye Lounge Gallery, presenting a journey of self-discovery, transformation, and the complex dynamics of relationships.

This collection reflects an intensely personal yet universally resonant experience. Each painting explores how relationships have the power to entangle us, often binding us in the truths of others and clouding our perception of ourselves. These entanglements can lead us to disconnect from our inner truths, creating both comfort and tension. "Untangling" delves into the painful but necessary process of unraveling these ties and confronting moments of fear to reveal an authentic sense of self underneath.

The journey of untangling is depicted in the vivid gestural forms of the human figure, particularly the female body, which becomes a central metaphor for resilience and renewal. Through nuanced portrayals, these works examine the duality of love and loss, power and vulnerability, liberation and confinement. The exhibition offers a rare invitation to witness the intensity of personal transformation—both the pain of separation and the strength born of rediscovering one’s voice.

"Untangling" will be on view from November 15th through December 8th at Eye Lounge Gallery. Join us to experience a moving reflection on self-recovery, raw emotion, and the resilience required to reclaim one's truth.
