Eye Lounge is opening its doors for a rare open call opportunity! Apply to exhibit in the historic Eye Lounge Gallery in the downtown Phoenix Roosevelt Row arts district. The exhibition is open to artists of all media. If your work is selected, it will be showcased in the gallery and featured in our social media and marketing during the exhibition.
About
Eye Lounge Gallery is a member-operated contemporary artist collective in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. In this rare opportunity for non-members to show work at one of Phoenix's oldest artist galleries, we'll showcase contemporary artwork from a diverse range of artists. Eye Lounge has been featured in local and national press including LensScratch, Sunset Magazine, Art In America, ArtNews, Phoenix New Times, Shade Magazine, Java and others. Along with other neighboring galleries, Eye Lounge has been listed as part of the “Best Underground Art Scene” by The Arizona Republic.
Eligibility
All artists, emerging or established currently residing within the United States are eligible for submission, individuals must be at least 18 years of age or older. All media, including but not limited to painting, watermedia, pastel, wood, printmaking, bookmaking, photography, ceramics, drawing, fiber, video, documented performance art, digital art and sculpture are eligible.
Artists selected to exhibit must supply all display equipment, including any relevant installation hardware, screens, stands, etc. Please note that wall-mounted works are limited to 20" in any dimension, while 3D works are limited to 18" in width and depth. All work submitted must be for sale, with Eye Lounge commission splits at 85% to the artist and 15% to the gallery.
Selection Process
Submissions will be reviewed by current Eye Lounge members of varying artistic backgrounds and experiences. You can learn more about the members here. Notification will be done via email by May 26th. If for any reason you do not hear from us by the notification date, please check the filters in your email account. Notification emails are sent to the email from which the submission was received.
The exhibition will be held at Eye Lounge from June 21st–July 14th, 2024.

Submission Fee
A fee of $20 includes submission for 3 works. You can submit two more works by adding $5 each for up to two additional works.

All submission fees will be used for the operating expenses of our artist-run collective.

Note: Artists are responsible for all shipping or transportation costs both to and from the gallery. In addition, works are not insured while in gallery.
