Cyd Peroni is a photographer and founder of Salon 60, a small group of artists dedicated to photographic exploration and education. She experiments with digital and alternative photographic processes, papers, found objects, and materials such as precious metals and encaustic wax. Peroni’s images are strongly influenced by the natural world. She searches for the transient moments and visual metaphors found in nature that convey deeper spiritual and emotional meanings. Having lived in rural areas most of her life, she explores the universal feelings of loneliness and loss that are closely linked with the joys and abundance in life.
