Danielle Wood received her MFA from NMSU in 2012 and her BFA from ASU in 2006. Wood completed art residencies at Anderson Ranch Art Center in 2014 and Red Lodge Clay Center in 2019. Her work has been on display at the ASU Ceramic Studio Tour, Local Light by Scottsdale Public Art, Water=Life by Mesa Arts Center, Spark! Mesa’s Festival of Creativity, Contemporary Crafts Exhibition at the Mesa Art Center, INFLUX Cycle 6, and Artlink’s 18th Annual Juried Exhibition. She received the Baron Purchase Award & has work permanently on display in Phoenix. She was a member of Eye Lounge from 2015-2018. Wood has work in the permanent collection at NMSU Art Museum and San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. She has also had her work featured in Ceramics Monthly in April 2020. Wood uses ceramics to create installations and sculptures that abstract forms found in nature. She views the ocean as a metaphor for the subconscious, exploring the dynamics of social relationships through her artwork.
