There is a famous saying that if you are on a tightrope don’t look down. Making art feels like that sometimes. In my current work I explore the tensions and humor in everyday and imaginary experiences. Vibrant pigments, simplified forms and flat application of color allow the figurative and abstract to convey expressive, uncomplicated images. In addition to numerous juror awards, I have participated in exhibitions, installations and public art projects with Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, ASU Art Museum, Tempe Public Library, eye lounge, Art Intersection and various galleries in the Southwest, Japan, Boston and New York.
